The 6th Annual research forum has been fixed – the confirmed date will be Saturday 18th November at the The Link Hotel, New Ashby Road, Loughborough LE11 4EX – If you want to attend the forum bear in mind that last year 40 people missed out because all the places had been taken before they tried to book. We would advise booking sooner rather than later!
All the usual things you expect to find in our forums will be there again: very knowledgeable speakers; very good food served up at lunchtime; extra coffee breaks because we get tired if pushed too hard; and lots more! We are going to keep you guessing until every speaker has confirmed but just to tantalize you there will be a new device that helps us with walking and NO!! you will not have to wait 2 years for it you will be able to buy it at the forum at a specially-discounted price (if you need it of course). Also a medicine that helps immensely with freezing and mobility but is difficult to use is being redeveloped and the man himself will tell us all about it.
The last couple of forums have featured exercise and it seems like we all love it and willingly join in. A different face will put us through our paces – this person has lots of experience with people with Parkinson’s and exercise as well as top-notch qualifications in this field.
Another speaker will be a man who directly works in Parkinson’s research and is so confident that we are closing in on a solution that he has said today’s generation will be the last that have to live with Parkinson’s! Do you want to keep up with cutting-edge results and be amazed by this man’s incredibly broad understanding of PD and research? See him at our forum!
There is strong demand for places and we would advise booking sooner rather than later! Send an e-mail to Lionel Paulo at ljpauloz@ljpaulostk.plus.com – Details we need from you are your name, e-mail address and food requirements (i.e. gluten free, vegan etc.). Husbands, wives, carers, friends etc. are all welcome so don’t forget to book them in as well. We will acknowledge receipt of your e-mail so you know you have secured your place(s).
Don’t forget…. book early! State of play 29 July – there are only 30 places left so book now. The forum is free to attend but if you feel it was worth it you can give a donation if you wish. When the agenda has been completely agreed with all the speakers it will be sent to you with all the details, location, time-table etc.
Thank you for your interest!
